Harry follow up

It has been exactly one week since I finished the latest Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."

I can't believe that... no, I'm not going to reveal anything. I shall save all discussion and speculation for coffee shop conversations in my living room and person-to-person contact.

Instead, I am going to mention that the book is a must read, and there is no turning back once you hit page 584. Part of me wishes I had stopped reading there, and waited for the next book to come out so I wouldn't have the X years of suspense and speculation. Consider that my only warning on the topic.

Since reading the book, I have returned to the first five and reread them despite having read them in preperation for the release of the book. Liz and I also watched the second and third movies the past two nights. The third movie is such a disappointment because of all of the things they didn't go into from the book that feel so essential to the story. I don't know if the movie makes any sense to someone who hasn't read the books and I don't know if anyone who has read the books can settle for the skimpy amount of story put into the movie. I am still, despite that, looking forward to the fourth movie this fall. Of note in the fourth movie, it looks like all the characters have significantly longer hair, which is not consistent with my mental image of the characters from my reading of the books.

Speaking of how they look, I feel better thinking that Hermione is hot now that Liz confessed that she thinks Harry is hot.
