Is there a wrong time to act on an impulse? Should you delay the pursuit of happiness because the risk might outweigh the reward? How many people should agree with your decision before you enact it? How many people have to disagree before you take it back? Does the fact that I am looking for support in my decision mean that I haven't really made up my mind? I have a dream. It was a concept that came to me in college, and I was intrigued. I have tossed the idea around in my head off and on for about ten years now, and always said, "Yeah, that's something I'd love to do when I got older." Well, In the past two weeks, as I've searched for a new job to get away from my current one, I've thought alot more about my dream. I wondered, "Am I old enough now?" "Is the time right?" "Why should I wait any longer to bring this dream to reality?" I need to do the research to find out how much this would cost. I need to determine if I am going to be able to acquire the funding for bringing my dream out of my head. Do I go it alone on a loan or do I investigate investors. I want to retain complete control in my project, so I would have to trust my investors implicitly. I don't know if I could let my dream be shared by anyone but Liz. And maybe Tom. I don't want to wait. I feel that the right time is right now. If you ask someone, as I have in the beginning of this rant, "when do you pursue a dream?" I firmly believe that most reasonable people will say, "What are you waiting for?" I don't expect to quit my job tomorrow and then start the plans, but I don't see why I should put off the planning. I'm going to go for it. I am going to start making this happen. Not in a rushed and hurried way, but properly planned and thought out, the right way.
